Newsletter/Email Engagement

  • Lead email strategy for fundraising, promotions and events.

  • Write and edit weekly newsletter to an audience of over 15,000 subscribers.

  • Respond to reader questions and direct them to appropriate sources when necessary.

  • Manage general information inbox and reply directly to audience queries about events, Census 2020, voting and APIAVote campaigns.

  • Create content for APIAVote’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts including bespoke content like graphics, Instagram Stories and statements.

  • Anchor and create themed social media campaign to promote our fourth Presidential Town Hall.

    • Managed press relations between broadcast, print, and digital outlets including full press packet and syndication rights.

    • Oversaw team of volunteers and interns to manage social media response (Facebook comments, Twitter) and created posting/moderating guidelines.

    • Worked with outside stakeholders (funders, campaigns, contractors, media operations, public relations firms, partners etc) to create comprehensive messaging and strategy to drive views.

    • Assessed engagement rate post-event (1.1 million views)

  • Spearheaded a Presidential Candidate Twitter Town Hall ahead of the 2020 New Hampshire Primary. The event hashtag reached No. 3 Trending in Politics during it’s airtime.

    • Coordinated responses between eight campaigns, co-hosts, and NBC Asian America’s Twitter account which was the official moderator.

    • Created posting schedule and sample promotional content for both the campaigns and NBC Asian America’s official Twitter.

    • Ran a two week promotional campaign to draw attendees through Facebook events and targeting email messaging. The official hashtag garnered over 8,000 tweets in the duration of the event.

    • Monitored audience replies and directed appropriate partner organization to directly reply and/or engage with their questions in real time.

  • Assist in managing APIAVote’s intern program, overseeing 1-2 Communications interns per semester.

  • Author comprehensive social media toolkits for multiple campaigns including sample posts, useful hashtags, partner social media handles and original graphics.

  • Lead digital strategy for APIAVote using native analytics.

  • Author and manage APIAVote blog.

  • Oversee website development and design.

  • Work with vendors to troubleshoot issues and enhance web page SEO.
